Roscommon name team for all-Connacht league clash
Roscommon senior football manager Mark Dowd has named his starting team for the county's Allianz NFL Division 1 fixture against Galway in Salthill tomorrow evening (Saturday) at 7pm.
Roscommon are aiming to cement their status in the top end of the division following consecutive home victories over Ulster opponents, Monaghan and Armagh.
With two wins from three games played, Roscommon's sole loss being to Kerry in their opening fixture, Dowd's players are scoring strongly and will travel to the home of their Connacht rivals brimming with confidence ahead of throw-in.
Dowd still has to call upon the county's St Brigid's contingent as the league reaches its halfway stage of the competition.
Opponents Galway have had a mixed start to their Division 1 campaign. They have claimed three points from their opening three games, their sole win coming against Armagh.
However, they will enter the fray at Pearse Stadium with a positive mindset after their draw last weekend against All-Ireland champions Kerry, reeling in a 12-point deficit in the process.
