Roscommon name unchanged team for Connacht final

Roscommon manager Fergal O'Donnell has kept faith with the same starting 15 who defeated Leitrim for this Sunday's Connacht final with Mayo. There had been some doubt over the fitness of defender Stephen Ormsby, but the St Faithleach's player has been selected at left corner-back. St Brigid's clubman Peter Domican captains the team from centre half-back as Roscommon attempt to win back-to-back Connacht titles for the first time since 1991. Niall Carty of Padraig Pearses lines out at full-back, while the midfield pairing consists of two players from South Roscommon clubs - Michael Finneran (St Dominic's) and the hugely experienced Karol Mannion (St Brigid's). In a potent looking full-forward line, Senan Kilbride of St Brigid's and Clann na nGael's Donie Shine are joined by Kilbride's Conor Devaney. Roscommon qualified for the Connacht final with a comfortable 2-12 to 0-6 win over Leitrim, while Mayo got the better of old rivals Galway in the other semi-final. Mayo have also named an unchanged for Sunday's Connacht final at Dr Hyde Park. Manager James Horan has opted to retain the same starting XV that defeated Galway at the semi-final stage.
