A Leaving Cert student at Coláiste Chiaráin in Athlone has created an eye-catching video tour of the newly-established secondary school.

Using a recently-purchased drone, Bealnamulla's Dylan Fuery filmed the footage at the school in Summerhill on Tuesday last.

He susequently edited the promotional clip into a stylish three-minute package, and the management team at the school was delighted with the results.

The new school is an amalgamation of St Aloysius College and St Joseph's College, Summerhill. Plans are being developed for a new school building at the Summerhill site in the coming years and design images of what that new school would look like are shown towards the end of the video.

Last year, Dylan and other students put together a nostalgic video tour of St Aloysius College ahead of the school's closure. That video has since been viewed over 5,000 times on YouTube.
