Pat Kenny to broadcast from Athlone next week

Pat Kenny

Radio presenter Pat Kenny will be in Athlone for a live brodcast of his show next Wednesday (February 26).

It will be Pat's first time broadcasting from the town since his high-profile move from RTE to Newstalk last year.

The broadcast will take place in the Sheraton Hotel from 10am to 12.30pm.

Guests will include former Fianna Fail Minister Mary O’Rourke and her son, Cllr Aengus O'Rourke, who will be discussing the most recent stories in Irish politics.

After recently adding a decathlon gold medal to his collection, United States Olympic Champion Ashton Eaton will also be speaking to Pat live.

In addition, the show will feature a report on Count John McCormack from local historian and senior librarian Gearoid O'Brien, while the Athlone Choral Society will be providing musical entertainment on the day.
