Kilbeggans penultimate race meeting of the year takes place today

The second last race meeting of the year at Kilbeggan racecourse is taking place this evening (Friday).

The first race is due to get underway at 4.45pm.

Close to 7,000 people attended Kilbeggan's flagship Midlands National race meeting last month.

Tullamore native Lisa McGowan was chosen as the winner of the Best Dressed Lady competition at that meeting.

The final meeting of the year in Kilbeggan will take place on September 5.
