Cannabis seizure in ballymahon

A 40-year-old man, questioned by gardaí after cannabis plants were discovered in Ballymahon, has been released without charge.

A grow house operation was discovered yesterday and a foreign national was arrested.

A number of cannabis plants were discovered, along with cannabis herb.

The drugs were seized by members of the Roscommon-Longford Divisional Drugs Unit, after a search of a house in an estate in Ballymahon town.

The man was released yesterday evening. Gardai are preparing a file for the DPP.
