Benefit night in memory of late Caolan Seoige Webster
A benefit day in memory of the late Caolan Seoige Webster who tragically passed away last May from drowning is to be held on Saturday next, October 17.
A number of locals and Na Fianna Kickboxing club have joined together to organise a number of events to raise funds for Caolan’s family.
The events will be ran from Na Fianna boxing club and Gentex football pitch from 10am to 4pm.
The event will include a five-a-side football tournament from 10am to 2pm in which eight teams will compete.
Two ladies football teams from Na Fianna’s kickboxing club will also compete for a shield.
A 5k run will also be held from the kickboxing club. Route and numbers will be available on the day with stewards at 4 points throughout the day. Fee is €10 per adult and children are free.
Musical entertainment will be provided and there will be face painting on the day as well.
The benefit will conclude with a night of entertainment starting at 9pm to 1pm in the Prince of Wales Hotel. The Blaggards will have main stage and will have guest singers on the night, tickets are €5 and can be got on the door. There will also be a raffle on the night.
