RTÉ's Darren Frehill to start Moore 5K on Saturday

RTÉ sports journalist Darren Frehill will be the official race starter for the Moore Operation Transformation 5K walk/run on Saturday.
The event is the culmination of six weeks of Operation Transformation which has been embraced by huge numbers of the local community.
Around 150 people signed up to the project, which focuses on health and fitness, at the start of January and the group featured on RTÉ television last week during one of the programmes on the national Operation Transformation initiative.
The project is spearheaded by local nurse Laura Tully. Entry is €5 and children are free. “It will be buggy friendly and wheelchair friendly,” said Laura.
The proceeds from the event will go towards the local community playground which is currently being constructed.
The 5K will get underway at Moore community hall at 10am.

A community breakfast will take place afterwards in the restaurant at Millar's Bar.
