Jennifer Byrne has tonight been selected as the 2017 Rose of Tralee.

Jennifer from Clonaderig, Ballinahown, represented Offaly in the Dome.

Shortly after 11.20 tonight, she was announced as the winner.

A delighted Jennifer said she couldn't believe it and was in shock.

Jennifer is a qualified doctor who works in University College Hospital Galway and a former Irish international soccer player.
