Willow Park make it a six-pack of success

WILLOW Park have been crowned as champions of the Combined Counties Football League Senior Division for a sixth year in a row.

Tony O’Sullivan’s side travelled to face Mountmellick Utd on Wednesday evening, needing just a point to secure the title. This was after Ronan Frawley’s late goal had earned a crucial 2-1 victory over second-placed Mullingar Athletic last Friday.

In the end, Willow had to settle for a 1-1 draw against struggling Mountmellick Utd, who preserved their Senior Division status with a point (at the expense of Athlone outfit Melville Utd).
