Westmeath Independent Sports Awards launched in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel

 

The 2013 Westmeath Independent Sports Awards were launched at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel in Athlone last week.

This year's gala awards function will be hosted by the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on February 28, 2014.

The monthly award winners from January to October were presented with their awards at last week's launch. The November and December winners will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Alan McCaul, General Manager of the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, said the hotel is delighted to be involved with the awards as sponsors and hosts.

'From our point of view, we are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious sports awards event. We have a long-standing relationship with the Westmeath Independent and when the opportunity to come board with these awards presented itself, we were delighted to take the opportunity,' said Alan.

'We congratulate all the monthly awards announced so far. The winners are a reflection of the high level of sporting talent that is in the town and surrounding area,' he continued.

'We look forward to hosting the event on February 28 and we hope this is the start of a long-standing relationship with his sports awards going into the future,' Alan added.
