Westmeath's Paul Sharry battles with Dublin's Paul Flynn during last Sunday's Allianz FL game. Sharry has been named in the Leinster squad for this Sunday's game against Ulster.

Sharry included in Dempsey's Leinster squad for Ulster clash

Paul Sharry is the only Westmeath player selected on the 25-man Leinster panel for this Sunday's interprovincial semi-final against Ulster in Navan.

Sharry is the Westmeath captain for the 2014 season, and he played a key role in St Loman's Mullingar winning the Flanagan Cup last year.

The Leinster team is managed by former Westmeath manager Luke Dempsey, who led the Lake County to All-Ireland glory at minor (1995) and U21 level (1999).

With the Leinster squad this year, Dempsey is assisted by selectors Ciaran McManus of Tubber and former Meath star Graham Geraghty, who managed the Castledaly senior team in 2011.

All-Ireland champions Dublin and Meath have six each on the Leinster squad, while Kildare have five players involved.

Niall McNamee is Offaly's only representative, while Longford have two players involved.  In all, nine counties are represented on the panel.

Leinster take on Ulster at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday (throw-in: 2pm), while Connacht face Munster in the other semi-final in Tuam Stadium (also 2pm on Sunday).
