Athlone town to face testing start to new season

THREE of Athlone Town’s opening four fixtures in the 2015 SSE Airtricity League First Division will be AWAY from home.
On the opening weekend of the season (March 6), Athlone will travel to Waterford Utd, before their opening home game against Cobh Ramblers.

Further away fixtures then lie in store against UCD and Shelbourne before the Town return to play at Lissywoolen. The fixtures were released today, Thursday, by the FAI. A full list of Athlone’s fixtures for the 2015 season will be published in next week’s Westmeath Independent, available from Wednesday, February 4.
