Gala Sports Awards ceremony just hours away

PREPARATIONS for the Westmeath Independent sports awards are in the final stages, with just hours to go to the big event this evening.

All 12 monthly winners will be formally presented with their awards at the gala awards function which will be hosted by respected RTE sports broadcaster Robbie Irwin. The overall winner and the Readers' Choice award winner will be chosen from the 12 monthly winners and will be announced at this evening's ceremony.
The Hall of Fame recipient Rosemary 'Gudgie' Moran will also be presented with her award.
The Westmeath Independent Sports Awards are sponsored by the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, with Action Physio and Byrne Carolan Cunningham Solicitors associate sponsors of the awards.
