Bringing Pink Floyd magic to Athlone!

Having established themselves as Ireland"s unrivalled Pink Floyd covers crew since getting together almost two years ago, The Irish Pink Floyd are currently treating Irish audiences to their sensational live show on a sell out summer tour taking in Karma Live on sunday, June 14. Described in Play magazine as "A musical and visual feast for the Pink Floyd fanatic as well as the casual fan alike", The Irish Pink Floyd have quickly established themselves among the most highly rated tributes to one of the most influential rock legends of all. Touring extensively and receiving rapturous acclaim over recent months, The Irish Pink Floyd present an exhilarating audiovisual live show that spans the entire 16-album repertoire that their mentors amassed during their 30-year tenure as the archetypal pioneers of experimental rock. The Irish Pink Floyd presents a show that combines the very best of Pink Floyd"s back catalogue with the extravagance of their legendary lives shows. The Irish Pink Floyd set list for 2007 includes songs from The Dark side of the Moon, Animals, Wish you were here, The Wall and The Final Cut. Visually the show is stunning, with the largest sound and lighting system currently on tour in Ireland. As a special treat for fans in 2007 The Irish Pink Floyd will be performing with a quadraphonic sound system in selected venues nationwide. Combine all this with a three meter circular video screen at the rear of the stage projecting a mixture of film footage, stills and animation and you get a show that is as visually powerful as the music itself. The Irish Pink Floyd makes significant use of expanded theatrical elements prevalent in Pink Floyd"s elaborate 70s and 80s stage displays such as high-tech lighting, video accompaniments and the obligatory helicopter searchlight, heartbeat and clock chimes; all of which result in an incredible live experience. Recent shows include the Millennium Forum, Derry, An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny, Iontas Theatre, Castleblaney, Marketplace Theatre, Armagh, The Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoighre and The Empire Music Hall, Belfast and Dolan"s Warehouse in Limerick where the IPF recorded their first live album. Don"t miss out!
