Congratulations to all players on these honours and they will be presented with their awards at a function in the near future. TAG RUGBY Tag Rugby continues on Thursday nights at 7pm. Check out athlone.tag.rugby@gmail.com for further details. BEST WISHES Congratulations to Benny and Fidelma Gilligan on their recent nuptials. Best wishes, too, to Pat Whelan following his recent operation and to former club President Michael Byrne who is currently indisposed. Good luck to our 'tourists' who are heading off to support the Lions in South Africa where they hope to savour the atmosphere, see some of the sights and play a couple of matches. Incidentally, for those not heading to the Veldt, you can catch all Lions games on the big screens at The Bounty especially the three test fixtures. Well done to Leinster on their super Heineken Cup success. Two former Buccaneers - Ronan McCormack and John Fogarty - both played key roles in an epic win while Chris Keane was unlucky to not make the match-day squad. CONDOLENCES Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Owen Fagan, who died suddenly recently. Owen, uncle of Eamonn, was a staunch Buccaneers supporter. Condolences too to the family of the late Larry Fagan.
