Terrific year for Dancezone
With the curtains closing for the summer on another terrific year for members of the midlands top stage school Dancezone, it is time to reflect on the year gone by. September saw members of the school participate in Showbiz kids in Dublin giving a superbly polished and professional performance. While the Senior/Adults had taken top title in the Tops section, the juniors delivered just as good a performance but weren"t as fortunate. They did manage to secure the overall comedy item with a hilarious stand up piece of comedy delivered brilliantly by Ruth Galvin. However, as director Sandra Julian points out: 'It"s a learning curve, and everybody had a ball and at the end of the day, that"s what most important.' All the members of the Dancezone Stage School are trained with the same goal in mind - to develop their talents and use them in a confident manner to the best of their ability. This year the members certainly raised the bar even further, they managed to wow the crowds on St Patrick"s Day, and with their annual production "Legends of their Time", they were simply supreme. Flawless delivery of routines, encapsulated in what can only be described as a stage worthy to challenge any Westend/Broadway production, dazzling arrays of costumes and most importantly an energy and vibrancy that left the huge audiences that attended almost stunned. While they always captured the innocence of a young performer, they certainly had a very professional twist. Dancezone members now take a well deserved break as they will return in September to a very special year, as Dancezone celebrates its 15th anniversary. It will see members who have been part of the school over the years return to participate in the show also along with the current members. 'It"s been a fantastic year for Dancezone this year and I would like to say a huge thank you to the members for their amazing dedication, to the parents for all their terrific support, and to the general public who show up in huge numbers every year to support us, next year is a very special year and I am very excited about it, it will be amazing to be part of it,' said Dancezone director Sandra Julian.
