TRAINING CONTINUES: With the competitive season now virtually upon us, players are reminded that training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays for all adult teams from Senior to Reserves and Thirds. Players should be togged and on the training paddock from 7.15pm. Women's training is pencilled in for Wednesday nights. Meanwhile, Mini's coaching up to U-16s commences on this Saturday, September 5th, from 11am. All coaches should attend in good time, and underage players including beginners are welcome. U-17 and U-19 squads will train on Friday nights. Registration/membership sign-up re underage players is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19th. COACHING COURSE A Foundation Coaching Course takes place at Dubarry Park this coming weekend over two sessions. First session takes place on Friday evening from 6pm to 9.30pm with the second session being a longer one on Saturday from 9.30am till 4.30pm. Charlie Couper is the event director and he is looking forward to a decent turnout of coaches and aspiring coaches for this essential course. BUCCANEERS U-15 RUGBY Training commences for the Buccaneers U-15 rugby team this Saturday, September 5th, at 10 o'clock at Dubarry Park. There has been a change in the date-of-birth for each age group this year by the IRFU so to be eligible to play U-15 rugby it is necessary to be born in 1995. The coaching team this year will be Clem Higginbotham, Pat Molloy, Brian 'Abba' Moore, Tommy Kelly and Sean Lyons. A very exciting year lies ahead so a big squad is required. MATCHDAY PROGRAMME Work is in progress on Buccaneers Matchday Programme for the forthcoming AIB League season. Short articles are invited from any members/mentors, especially on underage rugby activity. Of course, the Programme is produced to earn some much-needed funds for the club too, so support through advertising in the programme is very much welcome.
