Late Jackson's Rosemount album set to storm charts

Grouse Lodge in Rosemount is set to be thrust in to the global spotlight with the launch in the coming months of a new album of songs by Michael Jackson recorded at the South Westmeath studio three years ago. The album is predicted to top the charts around the world. Speaking to the Westmeath Independent this week, owner of Grouse Lodge studio in Rosemount Paddy Dunning said the songs he heard while the icon of music was recording in Rosemount were fantastic and he had been expecting him back to finish it after his planned 50 dates in the London's O2 arena. "Michael wrote some amazing songs while he was here. He was feeling really great and was very happy with Westmeath," Paddy commented. "He absolutely loved the countryside and the heritage Westmeath had to offer. He was very interested in castles and the local heritage. He was really in a good zone and a happy place with his family with him," he recalled of his four month stint in the county back in 2006. "He was writing and recording songs all the time and he had collaborated with Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas and he flew in Rodney Jerkins, Jennifer Lopez's producer and nephew. He was looking at different directions and there were lots of different types of songs. It was absolutely pitch perfect." Mr Dunning predicted the as-yet unnamed album, which is expected to be released in the next few months will be a "huge seller" considering the status of Michael Jackson in pop music worldwide and the number of hits he had during his lifetime. "It's so sad he's gone," Paddy Dunning said. "We were expecting him back to open my new Wax Museum and finish recording coinciding with the end of his shows in London. We launched the Wax Museum in Dublin last week." A special deal for local or national bands across all genres to record in the famed Grouse Lodge, which has also welcomed the Manic Street Preachers and Snow Patrol among others in the past, will be available from October to December to coincide with the possible launch of the new Jackson album.
