Mount Temple's Andy to launch CD for Guide Dogs for the blind
Mount Temple's Andy Donohoe is to launch his debut CD this weekend in the Gap House, Moate, to raise funds for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. The CD will be launched on Saturday night and it's sure to be a night of music, song and laughter, as a host of local musicians and friends prepare to celebrate the launch. Andy has brought joy to many people over the years with his quick wit and his wonderful talent as a singer. With a little encouragement form a few friends, Andy recently embarked on a recording project, which has lead to the production of a wonderful CD called 'A Guiding Light'. The CD features a number of comical songs, some with the lyrics adapted creatively, to honour local characters and also some more serious songs. Andy is joined on the recording by local musicians James Donohoe, Jimmy Reilly and Seamus Dooley. Andy is donating all proceeds from the sale of 'A Guiding Light' to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. This national charity is dedicated to helping persons who are blind or vision impaired and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence. The show begins in the Gap House Moate on Saturday night July 10 at 9.30pm. CDs will be on sale on the night. All are welcome and your support of this worthy cause is very much appreciated.
