'Athlone Means Business' - new chamber open evening confirmed
Athlone Chamber President Michael O'Brien invites all businesses to attend a special open evening, on Thursday June 9 in the Radisson Blu Hotel to meet the board directors, and hear what was on offer from the chamber. "We often do not realise what is on our very own doorstep," outlined Mr O'Brien, "believing that many think the grass is greener elsewhere. Athlone has a number of very successful businesses and many of them have had to deal with very challenging circumstances this year. The Chamber is bringing businesses together and outlining how we can help one another." "Many of our chamber members have commented to us that joining the chamber was one of the best business decisions they ever made and know other business owners that could benefit from chamber membership. We in Athlone Chamber want to encourage a more positive-thinking, involved membership base that interacts with the chamber and encourage businesses to engage with and support each other," Mr O'Brien said. "The event will outline practical no-fluff, workable ideas for your businesses to use in promoting and developing. If you have ever wondered if business after hours works or what benefit the business watch can be of direct benefit to your businesses then you should come along and see what it is all about," invited Mr. O'Brien. Mr O'Brien added that by leveraging the support, talent and resources of member businesses, the chamber connects business leaders to each other and helps to improve the economic vitality and quality of life for everyone. The event will highlight a range of initiatives and services the chamber has on offer to business and provide a forum for everyone to get involved according to their time available, whether they want to host a business after hours, join the Business Watch, accept Athlone Gift Vouchers, or become involved in a chamber committee and contribute to policy. So come along to Athlone Means Business on Thursday June 9 in the Radisson Blu Hotel at 6.15. All businesses are welcome.
