James O'Connor and Audrey Trainor will perform their new single 'Mr Fake' at Music World in Golden Island Shopping Centre next Wednesday at 1pm. They will release the single on Friday, May 27. Produced by Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy from the Production Suite, James' vocals, combined with Audrey's orchestral violin manoeuvres' blend the songs' lyrics which question reality, conscience and imitation together; resulting in an intense energetic, exciting contemporary The duo hit the road on May 20 touring and promoting 'Mr Fake' with a combination of support slots, the official launch party, in stores, festival appearances and radio interviews. Their new album 'From Now On' is scheduled to be released in the autumn. Mr Fake follows a great year for James and Audrey, who scored their first top ten hit last year with 'Falling Up' reaching number nine and many festival appearances including Electric Picnic and Helium Festival. James O'Connor, a 25 year old musician from Laois, has been writing songs for the last number of years. 2007 marked James' first appearance in the Irish charts with his playlisted track 'Mr Moon' appearing on the top five album 'Our Space'. After teaming up with Audrey Trainor, a classically trained violinist and music lecturer from county Louth, they have been performing all around Ireland, the UK and the USA with headline shows and opening for many great artists such as The Walls, The Waterboys - Steve Wickham, Bell X1's - Dave Geraghty, Miss Paula Flynn, Mick Flannery, the 4 of Us, Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club, Duke Special, Liam O Maonlai, O Emperor, John Spillane in London and are due to open for John Spillane again in May! In addition they have also performed at a number of festivals such as the Helium Festival, Lissadell Fringe Festival and the Cosby stage performance at the 2010 Electric Picnic. In fact while in America, they recorded a live studio album in the world famous Sun Studio with James Lott, who previously recorded U2 and the week before had recorded Robert Plant there. This album was released in October 2009 and the original limited edition version of this album sold out. They are back in the studio, this time with two sets of producers; Greg McAteer and Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy from the Production Suite. Greg, a multi-instrumentalist, has worked in almost every facet of the music business working with Dervish, Relish, and other major Irish artists, along with running labels, publishing companies, writing for Hot Press, to co-presenting 'The C Word' on RTE's 2XM with Paula Flynn. Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy have produced a huge array of artists from The Waterboys to Westlife.
