Athlone to host Change Your Life charity bootcamp

Are you fed up of struggling to squeeze into your party clothes for the festive season? Are you already dreading the Christmas 'binge' period? Do you want a fresh new challenge for 2012? Well fear not, because Change Your Life bootcamp will help you overcome all these and help you raise money for a good cause at the same time! Change Your Life bootcamp will begin on Monday January 16 in Athlone Towncentre from 7.30pm - 8.30pm. The six-week bootcamp will be run in aid of Self Help Africa, a charity that works to eradicate hunger and poverty in the poorest region in the world, sub-Saharan Africa. This is no ordinary bootcamp - Ronan Scully of RTE's Operation Transformation is an ambassador for the bootcamp, and he will take part in one of the sessions to help maintain motivation and give his advice to participants. Everyone taking part will receive a 'Bootcamp Goody-bag' which includes information on Self Help Africa, a t-shirt, sponsored goodies, recommended foodplans, water and wristbands. The six-week bootcamp will conclude with a fun-filled prize-giving night, with some fabulous prizes up for grabs for the person that raises the most amount of money for Self Help Africa, and for the person that loses the most weight! Participants will also be given expert advice and a detailed fitness plan by two local fitness experts Nichola Ryan (a former Westmeath Rose) and Alison Hogan, who are really looking forward to pushing you to reach your potential for 6 weeks, and help you achieve fantastic results. Organisers are currently recruiting a First Lieutenant to lead the troops! If you think you would be a good leader, and would like to apply, please go to www.facebook.com/BootcampAthlone and tell us why you would be good at changing your life and helping to save another. The First Lieutenant will waive the sign-up fee, but you must be prepared to be a true leader. You will be absolutely determined to change your lifestyle, to lose weight and regain confidence. If you have some experience with the media this will also be helpful, but not essential. If you and your friends are interested in taking part in this fun and exciting bootcamp, please contact Nichola Ryan on 087-9722110, Alison Hogan on 086-0603986, or Fiona Kelly at fiona.kelly@selfhelpafrica.org for sponsorship cards or any other details. There are limited places available so get in touch to secure your place before the January rush!
