X-Factor dream ends for Joe

Joe McCaul's X-Factor dream came to an end when he was eliminated from the high-profile talent contest last week. The Athlone singer reached the final 80 of 57,000 applications for a place at the show's bootcamp, before exiting the competition at the group stage. While initially "gutted", he said he has since come to terms with the ending of his journey on the show which airs on TV3 and UTV. During an interview on RTE Radio One's Derek Mooney programme on Monday, he said: "I can't go into too much detail but my own experience (on X-Factor) was brilliant. It was so nerve-wracking, the pressure and the stress was unbelievable." He stated that he was now planning on moving to London to pursue his music career. "I'm moving to London in late August or the beginning of September and I'm just going to graft at it - I'm going to work really, really hard over there," stated Joe, who represented Ireland along with his sister Donna at the 2005 Eurovision song contest.
