Local shortlisted for female entrepreneur of the year award

Athlone businesswoman Regina Bushell, the founder and MD of Grovelands Childcare, has been shortlisted for the Enterprise Ireland WMB Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2012. Grovelands Childcare is 20 years in operation this year, and in June Ms Bushell was presented with the MidlandsIreland.ie Business Person of the Year Award. The 'Female Entrepreneur of the Year' prize will be presented at the 'Women Mean Business Conference & Awards 2012' in Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel on October 1. The theme of the event is 'Power The Passion' and the day will include a panel discussion, networking, and an awards lunch. The keynote speaker will be Dawn Gibbins, MBE, philanthropreneur and founder of Flowcrete - a global flooring company with a turnover reaching £50 million The full list of finalists for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award consists of: Sarah Nic Lochlainn of Aruna Sauces; Triona Campbell of beActive International; Ann McGee of McGee Pharma International; Regina Bushell of Grovelands Childcare; and Anne Reilly of Paycheck Plus.
