If you're a fan of live comedy, why not kick off Paddy's weekend at The Palace Bar, Athlone – where The Laughing Stock Comedy Club presents “3 Paddies & a Kiwi” tonight (Thursday).

The Laughing Stock Comedy Club is back in the heart of Ireland fresh from their hiatus. The monthly comedy club will commence again on Thursday,March 14 in The Palace Bar, Castle Street, Athlone.

The Palace Bar has long been the epicentre of great music in the midlands and now it will have its own monthly comedy club that will satisfy a growing need and desire.

“The ethos of The Laughing Stock Comedy Club has always been to source and associate themselves with the best of up and coming cutting edge, avant-garde comics (that are all over the country) while poking fun at the establishment,” said PAradise PAddy, the creator of The Laughing Stock Comedy Club.

So, on Thursday from 9pm, the Palace will be open with a fantastic night of comedy featuring four excellent stand-up comedians from Ireland and beyond. There will also be a Fr Ted Trivia Quiz with tickets to be won for the April 11 show in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel featuring Reginald D Hunter. All this enjoyment for the princely sum of €5.

The line-up for tonight (Thursday) is as follows:

Ross Browne

Ross is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from Cork. He was a part of the hit RTE show 'The Fear'.

'Lively and very funny. An absolute treat to watch.' - Pat Shortt.
