BREAKING: Fourth man released without charge

The fourth man who had been arrested in relation to the discovery of the body of Patryk Krupa in Athlone on Friday night has been released without charge.

The man, who was aged in his 20s, had been detained at Athlone Garda Station. A file will be prepared for the DPP.

Two other men were released without charge yesterday, while 32 year old Leszek Sychulec, (32) of  14 Drinan, Ballymahon, Co. Longford appeared before a special sitting of Athlone District Court yesterday evening charged with assault causing harm to and the false imprisonment of Patryk Krupa.

Mr Krupa's body was discovered partially submerged in water at the River Shannon at Bogganfin, near the bypass bridge, in Athlone at 8.25pm on Friday.
