Rain here to stay until weekend

It looks as though the rain is here to stay, for the next few days at least.
Met Éireann said we will be looking at more unsettled weather from today (Wednesday), through to the weekend, with some showers expected.
Today will be dull, overcast with some light rain and patchy showers. Heavy showers are expected in parts of Connacht but are not expected as far east as Roscommon. Temperatures today are expected to be about 16-17°C. Outbreaks of rain are expected tonight.
Thursday will be cloudy, but there will be some sunshine breaking through. It might improve late in the afternoon or Thursday evening. Highs of 16-17°C are expected. On Thursday night rain is expected to come up from the south coast and work its way up through the country.
There will be a wet start to Friday, with rain in the morning and into the afternoon and highs of 13-14°C expected.
There will be no real let up on Saturday, with more outbreaks of rain and highest temperatures of 15-16°C expected.
Sunday might be a little better, although it will be cloudy with the odd shower.
