Five bikes stolen from coosan garage

Five bikes were stolen in broad daylight from a house in Garnafailagh area of Coosan earlier this week.

The incident happened on Thursday, March 12 sometime between 11am and 1pm. All of the bikes were stored in the garage of a residential house at the time.

Local gardaí agreed that bikes are unusual theft locally, especially so many at the one time and some kind of transport would be necessary to take them away from the home. Three of the bikes are described as racers, two the Trek brand and the remaining one was the Giant brand.

One of the racers is blue/black in colour and the others may be multi-coloured. A mountain bike and a regular bike, possibly a children’s size, were also stolen from the Garnafailagh garage.

Gardai are looking for the public’s assistance to trace the stolen bikes; anyone who noticed any suspicious activity or strange vehicles in the Coosan area last Thursday is urged to contact 090 6498550. In addition, anyone offered second-hand bikes for sale from an unknown or suspicious source is asked to call gardai immediately.
