Casting call for new midlands film this weekend

Offaly film production company Hello Camera is casting a new short film to be shot over a couple of days in Birr during the first two weeks of May.


The lead role will be played by the up and coming actor, Darragh O’Toole from Tullamore who currently appears in TV3’s Red Rock.


Hello Camera is looking for young actresses to fill two supporting roles. The playing range will be between 16 - 18. The short film is written by Dublin writer and actor Emmet Kirwan whose play Dublin Oldschool made waves when first staged in the 2014 Dublin Fringe.


Emmet also appeared in the viral internet hit 'Just Sayin’ around the Christmas of 2013. The film will be directed by Nicky Gogan of Still Films. Nicky has produced work in Offaly before, The Participants was filmed in Lough Boora in 2013, and he was a jury member at the 2013 Offline Film Festival in Birr.
