Aspca to run cruffs scruffs dog show

The ASPCA is running its annual charity dog show 'Cruffs & Scruffs, the not so serious dog show’ on Sunday, July 26, at The Bounty rugby grounds.

People can enter their dogs from 2pm on the day and  judging will start at 3pm. This is a fundraising dog show and the emphasis is on entertainment for the dogs as well as their owners.

There are all the usual classes such as the best puppy and the best pedigree, but there are plenty of fun classes such as the best paw giver, the dog with the waggiest tail, dog in fancy dress and the dog with the best trick.

The dog show this year is being sponsored by Athlone Vet Hospital.
A guest appearance will be made by rescue dog E MAIL  who will be celebrating his 21st birthday on the day and he will be presented with a trophy and some cake on the day.

There will also be a raffle on the day with plenty of prizes. All money raised will go directly to the care of all animals in Athlone and the ASPCA would appreciate the public’s support.

For more information about the dog show phone or text the ASPCA on 087 9925052.
