1,500 students in Westmeath receive Junior Certificate results

ALMOST 1,500 students who sat the Junior Certificate in Westmeath in June received their results today.

In Westmeath, 728 females and 708 males completed the exam, bringing the total in the county to 1,436.

In Roscommon, 561 students completed the examination; 283 were female and 278 were male.

They were among over 60,000 students nationally who received their results at schools across the country today.

The overall numbers sitting the examination increased by 1.2% on last year.

Applications for review of Junior Certificate examination results, which must be made through the candidate’s school, should be submitted to the State Examinations Commission no later than 5pm on Friday, September 30.

The fee for this service is €32 per subject which will be refunded in the event that a result is upgraded.
