Hat trick of Westmeath wins at Irish Wedding Awards

 

Three local businesses were winners at the recent Irish Wedding Awards last weekend.

Athlone businesses Love My Hair and Dooley's Flowers both won their regional categories along with the Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar.

Love My Hair operated in Athlone by Tina Kiernan was chosen as the Hair and Makeup Salon of the Year in the Midlands.

The business is only open some 18 months and won the Best New Business award at the Westmeath Style Awards last May.

The long-established Dooley's Flowers took the award for Florist of the Year in the Midlands.

Dooley's operates two outlets in Athlone, on Magazine Road and at Golden Island Shopping Centre.

Meanwhile, the beautiful four-star Annebrook House Hotel and wedding venue won in their category “Best Wedding Venue in The Midlands”, beating off some stellar competition from eight other prestigious wedding venues to scoop the top prize.

General Manager Michael Mccabe said: “It was great to receive such prestigious recognition for all the hard work and dedication of our expert Wedding Team. To receive this award on behalf of our team was such an honour for me.”

Winners for The Irish Wedding Awards were announced at a lavish, black-tie ceremony on January 28 at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel.

The awards aim to celebrate the work and commitment of the Irish wedding industry and recognise those who go above and beyond to make a couple’s special day the best experience it can possibly be.
