Three hospitalised after four-vehicle collision

GARDAÍ in Ballinasloe are investigating a collision involving a tractor and three cars on the motorway last night.
Three people were taken to hospital with injuries arising from the accident which occurred on the M6 - between junctions 14 and 15 - at around 8.30pm.
According to gardaí, one car collided with the rear of a tractor which was travelling on the hard shoulder. Two other cars, which were travelling in the same direction, were then involved in the collision.
All of the vehicles were travelling eastbound at the time.
The motorway was closed for a period of time but has since re-opened.
