Funeral details announced for local man who died in Shannon tragedy 

The Lecarrow man who died in a tragic accident on the River Shannon will be laid to rest tomorrow (Thursday). 

Trevor Brennan slipped and fell into the river, at the back of Sean's Bar in Athlone, at 11.30pm on Sunday last, December 30.

The Gardai, RNLI and divers rushed to the scene but he was later pronounced dead at Portiuncula Hospital. 

Trevor is survived by his heartbroken parents John and Marie, brother Declan, sister Sonya, brother-in-law Ciaran, Declan's partner Edel, grandparents Teresa and Annie, nephews, niece, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends.

His remains are reposing  at his home in Knockskehan, Lecarrow (eircode F42 XC66) today from 4pm until 8pm. 

Removal will take place tomorrow to St John's Church, Lecarrow, arriving for the funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in the Local Cemetery. The house is private on Thursday morning.
