Top folk voice for singers circle

The next session of South Roscommon Singers Circle will be in Murray's, Knockcroghery, on this Thursday, December 5, starting at 8.30pm.

Special guest on the night will be, the one and only, Katie Theasby.

Described by John Faulkner as, “The best female voice since Dolores (Keane) was at her peak”, Katie is currently No. 1 in the RTE Radio 1 play list chart and is known for her collaborations with such folk luminaries as Ron Kavana, Finbar Furey, Mike Hanrahan and Stocktons Wing, among others.

Her debut album - ‘I remember you singing’, was Charlie McGettigan's album of the week on The Arts Show on Shannonside/Northern Sound last week. 

Admission is free to this session – Katie will have CDs for sale and there will be a raffle on the night. All singers, storytellers and good listeners are welcome. Do come early.
