Local TD on Sinn Fein's front bench
A local Sinn Fein TD has been given a front bench portfolio.
Roscommon/Galway's Claire Kerrane has this afternoon been appointed as the party's front bench spokesperson on Social Protection, Community and Rural Development and The Islands.
Kerrane (pictured) is a first-time TD as is her Longford/Westmeath counterpart Sorca Clarke, who was not named among the 15 frontbenchers.
Laois/Offaly's Brian Stanley who had been the party's spokesperson in the last Dail on Agriculture and Rural & Community Development did not make the cut this time around.
