Two local Gardai promoted to rank of Superintendent

Two Gardai with strong local connections have been promoted to the rank of Superintendent.

Eamon Curley, who spent many years as a Detective Sergeant in Athlone, most recently served as an inspector in Portlaoise.

He has been appointed Superintendent in Leixlip District.

Athlone native Tom Colsh has been appointed Superintendent in the Castlerea District.

Supt Colsh has most recently operated as an Inspector in Boyle.

Another local Garda officer, Supt John Lawless, is on the move. He will now take responsibility for the Birr district, having most recently been Superintendent in the Ballymote District of Sligo.
