Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre team calling on locals to drop in

After three months of closure, the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre opened its doors once more on June 29, and the team there are calling on local people to support their area by paying a visit over the next few months.

The team have ensured the space is safe and compliant with all government regulations and along with recommencing tours, the restaurant and gift shop also re-opened.

The Visitor Centre will operate both a sit-in and take away restaurant service. The space boasts an ample outdoor seating area along the banks of the Grand Canal, allowing guests to enjoy a catch-up with friends in an airy atmosphere.

Guests can make a booking in advance for the restaurant and outdoor seating area or just call in for a take-away.

Visitor Centre experiences will recommence from July 6 and guests can book in person, by phone or at tullamoredew.com.

All experiences have been redesigned to ensure that groups are small and social distancing is adhered to at all times.

Cathy Sullivan, marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to see Tullamore gradually come back to life.

"We’ve spent weeks planning the safe reopening of the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre and we are hoping that the locals in the surrounding counties will pay us a visit getting our country back on its feet by staying and shopping local.

“We have lots to do here at the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre so if you’re in need of time out of the house, pop in to us for a coffee or lunch.

"Better still, if you’ve never taken one of our tours, now is a great time to experience all that’s on offer at the Visitor Centre.”
