VIDEO: Local Senator highlights Ballinasloe's 'staycation' attractions

Local Senator Aisling Dolan has starred in a video highlighting the attractions available to 'staycationers' who visit the Ballinasloe area.

In the clip, the Fine Gael politician describes Ballinasloe as "Ireland's newest town" due to its "fantastic" streetscape enhancement.

She suggests that visitors might consider hiring a boat on the River Suck before checking out some of the long-established businesses providing food and drinks in the town.

She also highlights "the blueways and the walkways, Beara-Breifne, the Hymany Way," around Ballinasloe, as well as Creagh Equestrian Centre.

The video was part of a series of clips in which Fine Gael politicians promoted their local areas to visitors.
