Singer songwriter Phil Lynott, founding member of Thin Lizzy, played Mullingar twice.

He took to the stage both in The Lake County in 1973, and played the Horizon Ballroom in 1982.

Today marks The Boys Are Back in Town singer's 71st birthday.
