Look what's coming to Monksland!!

Up to now, shoppers were forced to travel to Roscommon town for this particular store but now it's on the way to Monksland.

Homesavers is set to open in Westpoint Business Park shortly, according to signage erected in the area in recent days.

There was a hive of construction activity around two units in the park today emblazoned in the Homesavers signage and logos, the first beside the current Super Savers outlet, and the second, adjacent to Kreative Salon Supplies.

Boasting 26 shops nationwide, Homesavers is known and loved for its huge selection of furniture, homewares, toys, pet products, electrical, and food items.

This is a high profile addition to Westpoint Business Park's retail landscape which is already home to several popular businesses including Home Suite Home, Tile Warehouse, Jump Lanes, Tile Shed, and a base for Athlone Gymnastics Club.

Homesavers have been contacted for comment on the upcoming local opening and what kind of jobs boost it will provide locally but they have yet to respond to the Westmeath Independent.
