Athlone artist's 2021 calendar to raise funds for local hospice

Local artist Anna Boles has launched her 2021 calendar, which features her paintings of a variety of Irish landscapes.

Anna has been publishing her popular series of calendars for a number of years now, with each one raising funds for a local charity.

This year, the South Westmeath Hospice is the chosen beneficiary, with 25% of the proceeds from the calendar sales being donated to the hospice.

The calendar costs €15, which is the same price as in previous years, and Anna said a number of them have already been posted out to various corners of the globe.

They are currently in stock at: Athlone Chiropractic Care; Ganly's of Athlone, Longford and Mountbellew; Topline Heavins & Euronics; and the Athlone Towncentre post office.

"Many other local businesses had offered to sell them but are unfortunately they are unable to do so under the current circumstances," explained Anna.

The artist is a native of Dublin who has been living in Athlone for over a decade.

Last year, her 2020 calendar raised €1,000 for the Athlone branch of Barnardos Ireland.

In addition to the outlets listed above, the 2021 calendars can be purchased directly from Anna by messaging her on her Facebook page ('Anna Boles'), or by emailing: annaboles@gmail.com
