New music from Bailey Waterhouse
A new take on Cher’s classic 'Believe' is set to be released by Mullingar native Bailey Waterhouse this Friday.
The 23-year-old who moved to Manchester four years ago in hopes of making it big in the music industry, has worked with producer Eric McKenna and singer Rachel English for the track.
"Coming from such a small town I wanted to move to a bigger city that could help me get onto the right path towards music. It’s been a slow process but I’m finally releasing music," begins Bailey.
"I’ve always wanted to be a singer and release music that made people feel emotion and at least have an impact on them and of course make Ireland proud. My inspirations have come from all genres from the likes of Sia, Cynthia Erivo, Little mix , Luther Vandross, Niall horan, Julia Michaels and many many more.
"This is my first single that I have worked on with Eric McKenna, a 17-year-old music producer from Liverpool and my best friend Rachel English who’s originally from Waterford," he explains.
"Me and Rachel met early this year through mutual friends as we were both doing music competitions and our friendship sparked straight away. Rachel is one of the most talented and driven people I’ve ever met and so dedicated to being successful in music.
"I’ve been singing in groups all my life so naturally I love to sing with other people. There is a huge market in the industry for a mixed group and myself and Rachel feel that we are ready to start our music journey together. We share the same passion, dedication, music taste whilst also being best friends.
"We support and encourage one another every single day. We also write a lot of our own songs so with the right guidance and help we would love to bring these to life and are open to any opportunities that come our way.
"Rachel, Eric and I decided we wanted to take a well known song and completely make it our own and I feel we did that. We all agreed on Cher’s classic Believe - a song everybody knows so there no excuse for people not to sing along to it!"
