Weather: cloudy and dull start to the week

A rather cloudy and dull start to the week with outbreaks of rain at times, turning heavy and persistent later.

There will be a few sunny spells in the afternoon elsewhere.

Temperatures will be between 12 and 14 degrees through the day with light to moderate southeast winds

Tonight temperatures will fall to between 7 and 9 degrees with light variable winds.

It will be largely dry at first with just isolated patches of drizzle and mist, later turning a little more persistent.
