Councillor highlights need for bus shelters in Monksland and Bealnamulla

The need for shelters at bus stops in Monksland and Bealnamulla has been highlighted by South Roscommon councillor John Naughten.

"The need for bus shelters in the area has been raised with me by a number of people who regularly use the bus service in the area," explained Cllr Naughten.

"The shelters are particularly important at this time of year when people may be waiting for a bus in wet weather.

"I have sought an update from Roscommon County Council in relation to the provision of shelters at the bus stops in both Monksland and Bealnamulla."

The issue is to be raised by Cllr Naughten at a meeting of Roscommon County Council’s Athlone Municipal District, where he is seeking an update on the matter from Transport for Ireland.
