Tommy Kenny

Faddenmore, Belmont, Offaly

Tommy passed away (peacefully) on Sunday, February 7, in the loving care of the staff of Esker Rí Nursing Home, Clara. Late of the ESB, Shannonbridge, he is predeceased by his parents, Kieran and Mary-Bridget and brother Paddy, and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his brother Kieran (Barney), and sister Lil (McCann), nephews, nieces, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.

A private family Mass for Tommy will be celebrated tomorrow (Tuesday, February 9) in Ss. Parick and Saran’s Church, High Street, at 12 noon (maximum 10 people), with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Friends and neighbours are welcome to stand along the route to the Church, while following social distancing rules.

Nellie McNamara (née Donlon)

Slemish, Prospect, Athenry, Galway/Coolatubber, Ballyforan, Roscommon

Nellie Mcnamara (née Donlon), passed away (suddenly) at her home on Saturday, February 6, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved son Conor. Ever the devoted, proud and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nellie will be greatly missed by her heartbroken family, loving husband Tommy, son Fr. Robert (C.C. Moycullen), daughters Aileen (Nolan), Patricia (Rowe) and Louise, cherished grandchildren Leyla Belle, Rhys and Eloise Rowe, sons-in-law Terry and Neil, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Removal takes place tomorrow (Tuesday, February 9) at 12.30pm from the McNamara family home to the Church of the Assumption, Athenry for private family Reqiuem Mass at 1pm which will be streamed live on the following link https://www.churchmedia.tv/camera/st-marys-parish-1 and can be listened to on Parish radio 106.5fm. Burial will take place afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry.

Ann Byrnes (née Malone)

Beechdale Avenue, Commons Road, Navan/Brocca, Fardrum, Athlone

Ann passed away (suddenly, but peacefully) in Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan on Thursday, February 4. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband Jimmy, daughter Anne-Marie, sons Thomas, Seamus, Martin, Oliver and Noel. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, her sister Liz Kerrigan (Brocca), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A private family funeral Mass will take place this Wednesday, February 9, at 10.30am, in St. Mary’s Church, Navan, which can be viewed on www.navanparish.ie/livestream/. with burial afterwards in St. Finian’s Cemetery.

Carmel Slammon (née Daly)

Creeve, Mount Temple, Moate, Westmeath

Carmel passed away (unexpectedly, but peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Saturday, February 6. Loving wife of the late Sean and mother of the late John. To the deepest sadness of her daughters Olive, Marion, Louise, Colette, Dympna, Sharon, Josephine (Jos) and Michelle, sons David and Cormac, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relatives, many friends and colleagues of Olivia Danielle.

A private family funeral Mass will take place in Corpus Christi Church, Mount Temple tomorrow morning, Tuesday, February 9, at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Donegan Cemetery, Mount Temple.

Sheelagh Keenan (née Spollen)

Loughnagore, Kilbeggan/formerly of Auburn Villas, Athlone

Sheelagh passed away (peacefully) on Saturday, February 6, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, following an illness bravely borne. She was the only daughter of the late Jimmy Spollen, former Editor of the Westmeath/Offaly Independent. Sadly missed by her husband Joe, sons Barry and his wife Claire, her grandchildren Rory and Ryan, brothers Conor and Pat, all members of her family and her many friends.

A private family funeral Mass took place today ( Monday, February 8) in St. James’ Church, Kilbeggan.

Nora Duffy (née Clancy)

Dublin Road, Kilbeggan

Nora passed away on Saturday, February 6, at the Birr Community Nursing Unit. Predeceased by her husband, Jack, daughter Margaret and her brothers Patsy and Kevin. Deeply regretted by her daughter Edel (Finnegan), grandchildren Conor and Sinead, her sisters, Sr. Teresa and Julie, brother John, sister-in-law Helen, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A private family funeral Mass took place today ( Monday, February 8) in St. James’ Church, Kilbeggan with burial afterwards in the Relic Cemetery, Kilbeggan.

Eileen Brennan (Née Hannon)

Toarlisnamore, Kilbeggan

Eileen passed away (peacefully) on Saturday, February 6, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Noel and her sisters Gertie and Phyllis. She is deeply regretted by her devoted family, her sons and daughters Mike, Marion, Liam, Anne, Tony, John, Jim, Martin and Alva, her brothers Liam (Australia), Haulie, Paud, Ernie and Fergus, twin sister Josephine (Australia), and her sister Loretta, sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
