Cash and drugs seized after local house search
Gardai have seized €1,800 cash and cannabis worth over €520 in a house in Athlone town.
It follows a search of a home in the Valleycourt estate, just off the Dublin Road, around 11pm on Thursday night by officers attached to the Athlone Drugs unit.
Four people were arrested, all men in their 20s, and were later charged with drugs offences.
One of the four is due to appear in court today (Friday) with the remainder set to come before Athlone District Court on March 24.
