Libraries in Westmeath to reopen on Monday

From Monday, libraries in Westmeath will reopen for browsing and borrowing. Due to the current government restrictions there will be no seating or study facilities, and visitors are asked to keep their visits short for the moment. Visitors are also encouraged to use the self-service kiosks to issue and return items.

You can download the free Westmeath Libraries App which will allows you to search the catalogue and checkout your own books using your phone.

Surfbox printers will be available for photocopying and to collect printing ordered remotely. Visit https://www.printcopyandgo.com/print-location-search/ to access remote printing options in your local library.

Public PCs are not available at this time.

Athlone and Mullingar libraries will open 10am-5pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday; 10am-8pm on Thursday and 10am-1.30pm on Saturdays.

Moate and Castlepollard libraries will open 10am-5pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday and from 10am to 8pm on Thursday and Kilbeggan library will open from 10am-5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 10am to 8pm on Thursday

There will be a limit on the number of visitors allowed into each library at any one time. Everyone should observe physical distancing, and wear a face covering while in the libraries.

Online requests will be available from May 17 and Westmeath Libraries will contact people if there are items currently awaiting collection from the library.
