Westmeath travel to Galway in Ladies Football League

Having lost out to Donegal last weekend in their opening game, Westmeath travel to Pearse Stadium on Sunday for another tough encounter.

Their opponents will have left MacHale Park last Saturday disappointed that they didn’t take at least a point from their clash with Mayo.

A late blitz from the hosts left Galway empty-handed but still very much in the hunt for a semi-final slot if they can win their remaining two games.

Westmeath have flirted with relegation in recent seasons, and will need a result against Galway to keep their ambitions positive.

Westmeath make two changes in personnel from the Donegal game, with Lauren McCormack replacing Sinead Byrne in goal, while Lucy Power comes in for Rachel Dillon, who she replaced in the early minutes of the Donegal defeat.
